Based on Mary Shelly's novel
Some examples I've written over the years which have garnered praise but little in the way of remuneration. I guess no one wants a spec script based on Frankenstein or a remake of Halloween. When I'm not freelancing or working on my novel, Red Ribbon, I'm starting a screenplay called The Unstoppable Sex Machine.
An original horror screenplay
A mysterious milkman terrorizes a small, secluded town while an angry punk and his nerdy sidekick try to thwart the strange, Lovecraftian goals before it spreads to the rest of the world.
Based on Carpenter's original movie
At some point I'd heard they were remaking the original Halloween. Not rebooting, remaking. Full of piss and vinegar, I decided I knew how best to rewrite it and this is the result. It focuses on the mixed-up and harsh travails of Laurie trying to get by in a world that has no interest in making it easy for her. She's been seriously injured and rebuilding in a town that hates her for ruining the prized football program. Bullied into babysitting for a former friend, Michael Myers takes notice and, well, things get interesting.
